Molly at her preschool Valentines Day Party
This Valentines day was busy due to extra church meetings for both me and Rusty. We weren't able to plan an over-the-top dinner as in years past, so focused instead on a fun breakfast.

Again, she was acting a little clingy and the teacher threatened her that I wouldn't be allowed to come to any more parties if she kept being fussy. She kind of stopped. Molly just learned how to write her name about two months ago. She sometimes forgets the order the letters go in, but who cares; at least they are all there and she knows what it says.
Rusty does not celebrate or enjoy Valentines Day (for reasons I can't discuss in a family blog) but he is getting into it a little more now that our kids are "into" it. He got me some roses this year and the card read, "Mushy, mushy, mushy, Love, RO." I can't expect more. . . .
Because Valentines was on Saturday, it gave me ample time to do something fun for our family. As already stated, Rusty and I never go out on this day, and we decided that he would take the kids out for an hour (I think they washed the car--FUN) while I set up. 
This cookie/sucker flower arrangement idea was given to me by one of my most creative, kind friends. I'm a rookie, and hopefully will get better at it, but my kids loved "picking" their desserts (Molly, always going against the grain, picked hers as an appetizer. . .oh Molly. . . ).
Another super creative friend gave me the idea for Valentines. Get a string (yarn) and string it throughout the entire house for your kids to follow. At the end of the "maze" is a Valentines treat. In our case it was a huge Hershey Bar and some $$$. I did two different "routes" one for Meg and Molly to follow and one for Sam and Ben. BTW my boys REFUSED to wear anything that looked like "Valentines." So, go Cougars.
Ben and Sam had to follow their string three times to find their treat.
Nothing extravagant for the O'Brien Mob. We had spaghetti (a favorite of Ben's), garlic bread, salad, purple grapes and strawberry kabobs.
Can't she feel that there is stuff all over her face, and doesn't it bug her?
Meg is a true female. Loves the chocolate.
