Rusty was a kid in a candy store for three glorious days as he, his friend Brian Miller, and dad went to the Tour of California bike race.
Brian, Tyler Hamilton (reigning US national champion) and Rusty.
Floyd Landis (2006 Tour de France winner. . .and don't try to convince Rusty otherwise) and body guard.
George Hincapie (Lance's teammate during all seven Tour de France wins).
Hmmmmm, neither of these women look like me. Oh, wait, the one on the left does. Rusty with the "Podium Girls." If you don't watch bike racing these are highly trained and educated women who hand the stage winner their trophy and flowers while giving him a congratulatory kiss. Rusty "watching" the bike race. . .yeah right.
Rusty with Lance Armstrong's road bike. Maybe some of the "fastness" will come off Lance's bike and on to Rusty.
The real reason Rusty traveled 1/2 way across America to see a bike race, the "piece de resistance" of the weekend; the man, the myth, the legend, Lance Armstrong.
